The easiest way to buy tickets to any IWM branch (HMS Belfast, Churchill War Rooms and IWM Duxford) including exhibitions is in advance.
Due to COVID-19 distancing measures and strictly limited capacity, we advise booking online in advance as tickets may not be available on the day of your visit. IWM London and IWM North are free but you will still need to book a time slot to gain admission to the museums.
Please note HMS Belfast is currently closed until further notice due to COVID-19.
If you are planning to attend an air show at IWM Duxford, all tickets must be booked in advance as tickets will not be available on the day. For more information please see our Airshow FAQs.
IWM are advising all visitors to book a time slot in advance to help us ensure that we enable social distancing across our different museums. This includes IWM Members who can book a free time slot.
If you arrive on the day without an advanced online booking, there may be a waiting period before you are allowed into the museum. If all the time slots have been booked online, it may not be possible for you to access the museum. We would therefore advise booking online in advance to ensure that you gain entry to the museum.
